Pie Iron Burrito Recipe

  • 1 soft tortilla burrito size
  • taco meat pre-made
  • cheddar cheese shredded
  • lettuce shredded
  • sour cream
  • salsa fresh salsa works better than the jar type
  • non-stick cooking spray


  1. Prepare the taco meat at home using your favorite meat and seasoning, I prefer beef or sliced steak.
  2. Heat pie irons for 1 to 2 minutes in fire. While pie irons are heating place meat, and salsa in the middle of a tortilla. Fold both ends in towards the middle and then fold the sides it to completely seal the burrito making it about the same size as the pie iron.
  3. Remove and coat both sides with non-stick cooking spray.
  4. Place the burrito in the pie iron and close.
  5. Close pie iron and cook for 2-3 minutes turning several times. Check and cook until golden brown.
  6. Remove the burrito from the pie iron and serve with sour cream and shredded lettuce.
